On November 20-21, the “2025 China-Africa Education Cooperation Innovation and Development Forum,” jointly hosted by the China-Africa Innovation Cooperation Center and the China-North Africa International Education Innovation Alliance, was successfully held in Wuhan. The forum centered on two major themes: “Innovation and High-Quality Development in China-Africa Vocational Education Cooperation in the New Era” and “Higher Education Sub-Forum on Talent Cultivation and Scientific Research Cooperation in the Digital Intelligence Era.” Hu Hongtao, Member of the Party Committee of Binzhou Vocational College and Director of the Binzhou Institute of Applied Science and Technology, was invited to attend and preside over the launch ceremony of the “2025 Belt and Road Initiative & BRICS Skills Development and Technological Innovation Competition - North Africa International Competition,” as well as the certificate presentation ceremony for the competition's Chinese and foreign organizing committees and experts. Relevant personnel from the International College accompanied him to the event.

During the forum, our university's practical achievements in Sino-African vocational education cooperation garnered widespread recognition. We were successfully selected as an “Outstanding Case of Sino-African Educational Cooperation” by the China Education Association for International Exchange's journal Education International Exchange and received a certificate of recognition. Concurrently, the university was honored as the “Best Partner of the Central and North Africa International Education Innovation Alliance” and awarded a trophy by the alliance. These accolades fully demonstrate our institution's solid accomplishments and exemplary role in international vocational education exchange and cooperation.

This forum focused on institutional innovation and pathways for high-quality development in China-Africa vocational education cooperation, establishing a high-level platform to advance the building of a China-Africa vocational education community. Moving forward, the college will continue to deepen its practice of “education following industry needs and school-enterprise collaboration,” further strengthening pragmatic cooperation with African institutions and enterprises. This includes advancing joint standard-setting, resource integration, and collaborative talent cultivation to continuously elevate the internationalization of vocational education. The college will contribute more “Binzhou Vocational Wisdom” and “Binzhou Vocational Strength” to serving the construction of the China-Africa Community of Shared Future and the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative.
