International School Introduction


International School (Office of International Exchange and Cooperation) is a teaching institution directly under the university, responsible for training international students, hosting Chinese-foreign cooperative school projects, and is also the functional management department of the international exchange and cooperation work of the whole university, responsible for all kinds of unplanned international education projects of the university, including enrollment, education and teaching, management and service of studying abroad, and carrying out unplanned international education research and exchange activities.

Relying on the school's strong running strength, rich teaching resources and high-quality teachers and management team, International School actively expands and enriches the structure system of international education programmes, and jointly organizes nursing majors with Norquist College of Canada, big data and accounting majors with Northwood University of the United States, smart health care service and management majors with Kagoshima Medical Technology Specialist School of Japan, and smart health care service and management majors with University of Applied Sciences of Gera Health of Germany. Gera University of Health and Applied Sciences, Germany, jointly held rehabilitation therapy technology and stomatology technology 2 majors, the current enrollment of a total of more than 790 students.

The curriculum of International School is distinctive, featuring diversified courses and bilingual or multilingual teaching to cultivate students' language, knowledge and ability necessary in the process of globalisation, forming a distinctive style of running the school and academic characteristics. It offers English, German, Japanese and other multilingual courses to strengthen language learning and create a strong international atmosphere; it makes use of the advantageous resources of both institutions to open up academic upgrading channels for students and scientifically formulate academic and career planning; it carries out diversified exchange, visiting and study programmes to broaden students' horizons; and it encourages students to actively participate in international competitions to enhance international competition ability.

International School continuously optimises the international partnership network, promotes cooperation with institutions around the world, establishes partnerships with nearly 20 internationally renowned colleges and universities in Europe, the United States, Australia, Asia and other regions, and carries out transnational joint talent cultivation activities in various modes and forms. We are constantly improving the level of school running and the internationalisation of the International School, and creating opportunities for more students to study and pursue further education in the world. International School has cooperated with INTI University of Malaysia and Shinawatra University of Thailand for mutual visits and recruitment of teachers. The university also participates in the Central European Programme of the Humanities Centre of the Ministry of Education, cooperates with the University of La Coruña in Spain and the University of Grodno in Belarus, establishes and perfects the mode of joint cultivation for the bachelor's degree, college degree and master's degree, and promotes the joint cultivation of master's degree and doctor's degree. It also improves the mode of international exchange such as international exchange study, transnational internship or graduation design project and summer international school for current students.

International School actively responds to the national ‘One Belt, One Road’ initiative, docking key regions and industries, and builds international platforms, including Binzhou ‘One Belt, One Road’ International Talent Cultivation Base, Binzhou Workstation of International Talent Special Fund, Binhai-Taiwan Industry-University-Research and Exchange Centre, and Binhai-Taiwan Youth Cultural Exchange Centre.
