On the morning of 20 February, a group of 7 persons, including the dean of International Education Institute of Kyungwoon University, Chuen Shuying, the director of International Education Institute, Song Jing, and the secretary of the party branch of Shandong XueMeng Education Group, Shao Zhanrong, came to our university for exchange and visit. This exchange meeting was hosted by Li Yudi, Director of International Exchange and Cooperation Office and Dean of International School, and attended by Hu Hongtao, member of the Party Committee of Binzhou Polytechnic, Director of Binzhou Institute of Applied Science and Technology, and relevant personnel of International School.
At the exchange meeting, President Hu Hongtao firstly delivered a welcome speech and introduced in detail the development history, school running characteristics and the remarkable achievements in internationalisation work of our school. He said, ‘Binzhou Polytechnic, as one of the first batch of national backbone higher vocational colleges and universities, national high-quality higher vocational colleges and universities, and a construction unit of high-level higher vocational schools with Chinese characteristics, has made great progress in the internationalisation process in recent years, and was ranked 11th in the comprehensive ranking of higher vocational colleges and universities in China by Softech in 2025. Our university always upholds the open and inclusive philosophy of running schools, and actively carries out exchanges and co-operation with overseas colleges and universities and educational institutions, and has established solid and friendly co-operation with more than 50 overseas colleges and universities.’
Afterwards, Dean Chun Shueyoung gave a detailed introduction of the basic information of Kyungwoon University. She said, ‘Kyungwoon University is a comprehensive university with the right to grant undergraduate, master's and doctoral degrees, and is one of the nine “PRIME large-scale” universities selected by the Korean Ministry of Education. We are very much looking forward to establishing in-depth cooperation with Binzhou Polytechnic in many fields and jointly promoting the development of education in both universities.’
During the exchange session, the two sides had an in-depth discussion on the topics of specialised education, master's degree study abroad programme, exchange student programme and summer study tour programme. The implementation of these programmes will provide students of the two universities with more convenient channels to study abroad and a broader development platform, which will help to cultivate high-quality talents with international vision and cross-cultural communication ability.
Finally, the two sides indicated that they would take this exchange as an opportunity to further strengthen communication and collaboration, and jointly explore more opportunities for cooperation, so as to build a more diversified and internationalised platform for students to further their studies and employment. At the same time, both parties will actively integrate international education resources to provide students with more abundant international learning opportunities and development space, and jointly promote the vigorous development of the internationalisation of education in our university.
