On 25th June, the International Exchange Seminar on Digital Skills was held in Chongqing, which aimed to promote in-depth exchanges and cooperation between China and Pakistan in digital skills education, and to strengthen communication and collaboration in the field of vocational education in countries along the ‘Belt and Road’. Li Li, Dean of the School of Information Engineering, and relevant personnel from the Department of International Exchange and Cooperation and the School of Business Administration attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Muhammad Omar, Counsellor of Pakistan Embassy, delivered a speech. He stressed the importance of digital skills in international cooperation and expected that through this seminar, China and Pakistan could deepen communication and cooperation in the field of vocational education and jointly promote educational cooperation and development under the ‘Belt and Road’ initiative. Industry experts made an in-depth report on the concept and action of the international vocational education digital resources construction project, and discussed how to make more effective use of digital resources to promote the international development of vocational education. Our school was successfully elected as the executive director of China-Pakistan Digital Education Alliance, highlighting the advantageous position of the International School in the field of international vocational education.

During the meeting, the participants also observed the 2nd ‘Belt and Road’ International Skills Competition, witnessed the establishment of the China-Pakistan Digital Education Alliance, and listened to the reports on Luban Workshop, localisation of the German dual system, Zheng He College and other successful practices of Vocational Education abroad, which will provide valuable reference for the International School in international exchanges and co-operation in future. reference.

In the next step, the school will actively explore the new path of internationalisation of vocational education, deepen international exchanges and co-operation, and continuously enhance international influence and competitiveness.
