Recently, more good news has come from the Finals (International Group) of the 2026 World Vocational College Skills Competition. Five teams jointly formed by our university and partner colleges from Morocco and Canada performed excellently. With solid skills and close teamwork, they stood out in fierce competition and finally won 4 silver medals and 1 bronze medal.

The team jointly built by our university and the Moroccan college took part in the project Interactive Agent Based on Edge Computing and Multimodal Fusion, under the guidance of Teacher Yang Nana. Thanks to their strong technical ability and outstanding teamwork, the team stood out among many competitors and won the silver medal. It demonstrates the solid achievements of collaborative education between universities.

The joint team of our university and the Moroccan college participated in the project Turning Shells into Porcelain · Shining Culture Overseas, led by Teacher Fang Yanhong. Focusing on cross-border e-commerce and cross-cultural marketing, the team integrated the concept of intangible cultural heritage going global. They won the silver medal with this innovative featured commercial project. It reflects our university’s innovative practices and achievements in international cooperation, combining intangible cultural heritage inheritance with business education.

The joint team of our university and the Canadian college took part in the project Memories of Jujube · One Tree, Five Protections for Home Care, led by Teacher Gong Shuping. Focusing on people’s livelihood sectors including home health care and maternal & infant care, the team won the silver medal with its professional and comprehensive care service plan.

The joint team of our university and the Moroccan college participated in the project Smart Protection for Deep Compartments – Intelligent Safety System for Operations in Enclosed Spaces of Ships, led by Teacher Wang Chunying. Focusing on safety challenges of operations in enclosed spaces of ships, the team built an intelligent safety protection system and won the silver medal with solid engineering practical capabilities.

The joint team of our university and the Canadian college participated in the project Relieve Stiff Neck: Integrated Digital Chinese and Western Medicine Rehabilitation for Functional Recovery, led by Teacher Sun Hairong. Innovatively combining digital technology with Chinese and Western rehabilitation concepts, the team empowered clinical rehabilitation nursing with precision and won the bronze medal in the competition.

To prepare for this competition, our university followed the competition standards for the International Group, studied the event rules and competition arrangements item by item, quickly formed the participating teams, and coordinated internal and external resources to provide strong support for all teams to prepare and compete smoothly. These achievements are not only the practical results of the university’s school-running philosophy of "Education Aligns with Industrial Output, Schools and Enterprises Progress Together", but also an important milestone in advancing the internationalization strategy of vocational education.

The international competition arena is both a stage for skill contests and a window to perceive the development pulse of vocational education. Through this competition, our university has gained a clearer grasp of the new requirements for industrial technological iteration and international collaborative talent training. Next, the university will transform the gains from the competition into teaching resources, continue to expand overseas cooperation channels, better link curriculum content with cutting-edge technologies and job demands, and strive to cultivate interdisciplinary technical and skilled talents with an international vision who can adapt to future industrial changes.
