From May 25 to 29, the 7th China-CEEC Local Leaders' Meeting and 2026 Shandong International Friendship Cities Cooperation and Exchange Week was grandly held in our province. As an important part of this major event, our city successfully hosted the "Meet in Binzhou · Youth Future 2026 International Youth Exchange Conference and 'Binzhou Enterprises Going Global' Trade and Economic Matchmaking Conference" from May 27 to 29. On the afternoon of May 28, one of the parallel visit events of the conference was successfully held at our university.

A delegation of 17 guests visited our university for exchange, including representatives from the Guinean Delegation of the Distinguished African Women Organization, Luan Wenxia (Secretary General) and Li Guiyi (Vice Chairman) of the Malaysian Chinese Youth Federation, Li Xiaoqing(Executive President of the Global Economic Development and Cooperation Promotion Association), Chen Wen (Vice President of the US Southern Shandong Association), as well as officials from the Binzhou Foreign Affairs Office, the Binzhou Women's Federation, the Binzhou Investment Promotion Center, and other relevant departments. The delegation was warmly received by the leadership of the International College and representatives of faculty and students from relevant departments and schools.

The delegation first visited our university's Marine Virtual Simulation Training Center, where they personally experienced simulated ship navigation. They also observed training classes in depth, gaining a detailed understanding of the training base's operational mechanisms, the university-enterprise collaboration model, and practical teaching processes. The visiting guests spoke highly of our university's advanced teaching facilities and the talent cultivation system featuring deep integration of industry and education.

As a highlight of the visit, our university meticulously planned and organized a cultural heritage showcase under the theme "Binzhou Heritage ·International Perspectives."** The event was held at the Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Hall, featuring interactive booths for calligraphy, guqin, paper-cutting, cloth tigers, lacquered fan making, and Hanfu (traditional Chinese attire) try-on experiences. The event opened with a lively lion dance performance accompanied by vigorous drumbeats, followed by the graceful "Twelve Flower Goddesses Dance" and a Hanfu fashion show by our international students, which drew rounds of applause.

Guided by our faculty, students, and international students, the visiting guests tried their hands at playing the guqin, practicing calligraphy, cutting paper, and creating water-patterned lacquered fans, immersing themselves in the unique charm of traditional Chinese culture.

This event fully demonstrated our university's active role in international youth exchange and the dissemination of Chinese culture. Our international students participated throughout the event—explaining intangible cultural heritage items, doing Hanfu styling, and walking in the fashion show—serving as important bridges connecting Chinese and foreign cultures. By having international students tell China's stories and showcasing Binzhou's cultural heritage through intangible cultural heritage, our university not only provided high-quality cultural content for the event but also effectively contributed to Binzhou's international promotion and people-to-people exchanges.

This visit event not only built a bridge for enhancing mutual understanding and deepening friendships between Chinese and foreign guests, but also fully demonstrated our university's active exploration and fruitful achievements in the internationalization of vocational education, the preservation and dissemination of traditional Chinese culture, and its service to local foreign affairs and external communication. Our university will take this event as an opportunity to continue expanding its international exchange channels, deepen the talent cultivation model of "Chinese language + vocational skills + cultural transmission," and contribute educational strength to the strategy of "Binzhou Enterprises Going Global" and the promotion of Binzhou's high-level opening-up.
