Recently, representatives of international students from our university were invited to participate in the “Connecting with the World, Experiencing Binzhou” foreign-related government services and open house event organized by the Foreign Affairs Office of Binzhou Municipal People's Government. During the one-day itinerary, the students transitioned from urban service centers to the front lines of new rural development through government visits, interactive discussions, and village tours. This journey transformed their experience into a practical lesson on China's development—evolving from observation to hands-on engagement, and from perception to deeper understanding.

At the Municipal Government Service Center, the “Binzhou Enterprises Go Global” foreign-related service zone and the Municipal Public Security Bureau's multilingual service window systematically showcased Binzhou's cross-border support system for businesses and individuals to international students. The distribution of consular protection materials, posting of multilingual service guides, and efficient one-stop foreign affairs consultation collectively demonstrated Binzhou's pragmatic approach and professional capability in engaging with the international community and caring for foreign nationals. These details allowed international students to directly experience the convenience and warmth of government services.

Entering Dianzi Town in Boxing County, the tidy village landscape and well-developed public facilities showcase a new vision for China's rural development. At the “Hometown Sounds and Nostalgia” exhibition hall, vintage artifacts silently narrate the legacy of local culture. At the modern agricultural base, the hands-on experience of picking crops allowed international students to personally witness the vitality of green agriculture and the achievements of technology-driven farming. This visit gave the students a vivid sense of the dynamic implementation of Chinese-style modernization in rural areas.
