On the third day of the third lunar month, with gentle spring breezes and bright sunshine, in order to pass on the fine traditional Chinese culture, enrich the extracurricular cultural life of international students, and deeply practice the city co-building spirit of “Live in Binzhou, Know Binzhou, Love Binzhou, Build Binzhou”, teachers and students of the International College walked into Beihai Park together to carry out a themed volunteer activity of spring folk culture practice.

During the event, the international student volunteers actively carried out a campus park environmental sanitation clean-up, carefully clearing litter and debris from the walking paths, lawns, and public areas, demonstrating their care for the public ecological environment through concrete actions. Through this hands-on practice, they further strengthened their sense of responsibility and duty, and actively integrated into the daily life of the city, joining hands with their youthful energy to protect their beloved home.

Following the traditional folk customs of the Third Day of March, the students strolled along the lakeside and flew kites, immersing themselves in the charm of the solar term folk culture. While getting close to nature and enjoying the spring scenery, they deepened their understanding of the profound heritage of Chinese folk customs and the local culture, continuously cultivating their cultural identity and strengthening their sense of belonging in Binzhou.

With the warm and gentle spring breeze, teachers and students joined hands in dance, fully displaying their youthful vitality. They sang heartily and shared stories of their home countries' cultures, customs, and personal learning experiences. In a relaxed and harmonious atmosphere, diverse cultures met, blended, and learned from each other, while deep teacher-student bonds and cross-national friendships quietly grew amidst the dance steps and laughter.
This activity, centered around a traditional festival, organically integrated folk culture experiences, volunteer service, and cross-cultural exchange, guiding international students to appreciate Chinese culture and strengthen their cultural identity through hands-on practice. Moving forward, the International College will continue to deepen the diversified practice-based education model, enhancing the sense of mission, honor, and responsibility among teachers and students regarding the spirit of "Live in Binzhou, Know Binzhou, Love Binzhou, Build Binzhou," and strive with concrete actions to write the most beautiful chapter of Binzhou in the Chinese path to modernization.
